Classification and Provenance on Geochemical Lithogenes: A Case Study on Rock–Soil–Sediment System in Wanquan Area of Zhangjiakou, North China

Geochemical lithogenes have been successfully applied as an innovative concept in the field of composition classification and source traceability geological materials recently. This paper introduces background development geochemical genes construction application LG01 LG03 lithogenes. Based on LG03, LG_CR provenance are verified a weathering profile, ten gully sedimentary profiles regional stream sediments Wanquan area Zhangjiakou city, Hebei province, China. The lithology profile shows gradual variation from basic-like bottom rock to acidic-like at upper soils compositionally with heterogeneity. results 10 (each five samples) indicate that system dominated 11 types materials, while top made up 21 types, reflecting mixing upstream soils. survey scale 1:200,000 this illustrate basically consistent petrological derived mapping. Therefore, can be used not only effective tool for but also has great potential lithological mapping petrological-overburdened areas.
